An event every week that begins at 5:00pm on Thursday, repeating until April 25, 2019
Stay Quit, a four week program to support all community people’s efforts to quit tobacco usage will start April 4–25 on Thursdays from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Maniilaq Health Center in Conference Room A and B.
Recent studies show cigarette smoking is the leading avoidable cause of death in the United States. People with heart disease and diabetes are especially at risk for further health problems. Group support with difficult life style changes can increase success in staying quit.
Tips for coping with stress will be demonstrated and discussed, with an opportunity to try different stress release methods. Come and give methods a try for dealing with stress. Nothing to lose and years of life to gain; as stopping tobacco usage is the most important behavior change one can do to avoid premature death
