Full staff manage the human resources, finance, technology, housing and planning departments Facilities![]() The Facilities Department works to ensure efficient maintenance of all of Maniilaq's facilities, vehicles, & multiple buildings, including service to all of the villages within the NANA region, including Pt.Hope. FinanceThe Finance Department handles the financial affairs of Maniilaq Association. It includes three separate divisions: Purchasing, Central Stores, and the Business Office. These entities work together with the Executive Staff to ensure the financial well-being of Maniilaq Association and its employees. HousingWith 84 units available, Employee Housing provides safe, modern housing for personnel essential to the continuity of Maniilaq's health care delivery system. Temporary housing is provided to short-term employees and other temporary contracted workers using studio apartments designed for short-term occupancy. Human ResourcesHuman Resources is responsible for all employee relations within Maniilaq Association, including staff development, employee benefits, payroll, and employee orientation. In addition, HR handles the interview and hiring process for prospective employees. For more information about job opportunities, employee benefits, and the application process, refer to the employment section. Information Technology (IT)Information Technology manages and
maintains all telephone, FAX, computer systems, software, and hardware
throughout the Maniilaq Association infrastructure. IT also manages
the
computer systems of the Traditional Council Offices throughout the
Northwest Arctic Borough, as well as the corporate offices of
the Northwest Iñupiat
Housing Authority, Northwest Arctic Borough, and the NANA Regional
Corporation offices in Kotzebue.
Planning & DevelopmentPlanning and Development assists tribal governments in planning and developing expanded projects and programs and provides technical assistance to villages in search of funding, program development, and planning. The program also works to obtain a number of different grants for Maniilaq, such as the continuation grant for the Kotzebue Senior Citizen’s Cultural Center and the Alaska Federation of Natives wellness grant that is funding the new Mavsigviq family recovery camp. | |||||||||
